The club is partnering with Wasteco to bring two paper shredding trucks to Town to shred personal and financially sensitive documents onsite. The waste will then be used in recycled paper products.

The aim of this event is to:
·      provide a service to the community
·      raise awareness of re-cycling and care for the environment
·      raise awareness of the risks of identity theft

The shredding trucks will be located at the parking lot at the rear of Rotary Hall at 39 Grey Street South, Southampton on a “first come first service” basis and there is a 3 box limit per household.

Rotary is thrilled to have partnered with the Southport Horticultural Society and will be offering a free white pine tree seedling to the first 250 attendees to plant.

We look forward to seeing a great turnout on the day..!

There is a limit of 3 banker boxes per household. There is no charge, but a minimum donation of $10 per box is suggested. Any proceeds over and above the costs will go to Rotary causes, including the maintenance and upkeep of Rotary Perkins Park.

Southampton Rotary is very appreciative that the Cooperators Port Elgin, Don Amy – Wilfred McIntee & Co Ltd. Brokerage Southampton, RBC Meeting Place Port Elgin, and Susan Dollar Law Southampton have already jumped on board to sponsor the event and help cover some of the costs.

SHRED-N-GO was originally scheduled for April to coincide with World Earth Week however due to COVID-19 restrictions the event was postponed until the Fall. Rotary Clubs throughout the world were showcasing environmental awareness during that World Earth Week and this was the Southampton Club’s way of focusing on this crucial issue and is in addition to their annual County Road 3, Perkins Park, and Beach clean-ups.

Rotary is thrilled to have partnered with the Southport Horticultural Society and will be offering a free white pine tree seedling to the first 250 attendees to plant.
